Horseshit, the Offensive Review: it's not safe for work! No, really. In 1965, this publication existed on the shelves of magazine racks in a brown paper bag. Think illustrated nudity, randy jokes and jabs. The Dunker brothers are also a couple of political grumps. If you're easily offended, this may be one to skip.
Archive statement on offensive materials: "These publications reflect the radical politics, language, and cultural attitudes of their time. Some materials contain offensive language, explicit content, or views that may be harmful. They are preserved to document diverse voices and movements that challenged mainstream culture, not to endorse all views expressed within them."

Friends, due to explicit content concerns (more than usual for this publication), I will not be putting up the PDF for this issue. I now know why it's hard to find an image of this issue. But I want you to know it exists.

My notes for this section come from the 4th and last issue of this magazine. Thomas Dunker writes: "Those of you who have read the previous issues might be interested to know that our attacks upon the military have received the greatest acclaim from guys in the service in Vietnam. And the few objectors all seemed to be civilians in the states." This issue does some heavy lifting in their "attacks upon the military."

A bit more of a religious lean in this one--and not the bible kind. Forewarned is forearmed, as they say! But hey, when you read "Cunt Is a Christian Word," remember that sometimes employing vulgar language through religious imagery is a critique of obscenity laws and religious hypocrisy--nothing more.

I'll be honest, I don't know what to write here--Enjoy the "dirty-minded"? Sure, I mean, it's offensive, but if you are a repressed catholic, you might get something out of it?
